Description: The small 4* hotel prides itself on its classic and intimate European-style concept. It is a place where gracious hospitality, attentive service, exciting cuisine and a cozy environment have become time-honored traditions. The cozy small non-smoking restaurant serves authentic Egyptian and Lebanese cuisine and a selection of Lebanese wine, beer and coffee. Traditional seasonal dishes and famous meat and fish fondues are available as well. Restaurant and room service are quite relaxed about the clock and have a very flexible approach to breakfast times - the restaurant is open throughout the day.Free parking spaces are available next to Restaurant Christiania. A public pay parking is located opposite the hotel.

“Disappointing "Lebanese" Experience”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 6, 2010

Took my friend there for his birthday dinner. We both live in Gstaad and had never been to the Christiania, and were both looking forward to trying something different.
The restaurant area is clean but lacking in character. We were one of three occupied tables.
The service was good but the waitress lacked in charm and personality and not once did she ask us whether we were enjoying our meal!
We ordered the "Sultan" menu which was a selection of 17 Lebanese "Mezze".
I regretted our large order after the first three dishes: the hummos was bland and most dishes, if not hot, had just come out of the fridge, and were almost frozen. The chicken on the kebabs was raw. Possibly the worst meal I have had in Gstaad. Not recommended!
