Owner description: Icy air streams across your face, snow crunches under your feet, and the view nearly takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Mittelland up to the Vosges, on the other the Aletsch glacier, bordered by four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It's one you have to experience.

We come from South-East Asia and so snow is a bit deal to us. My children really enjoyed the endless stretch of snow they see before them. They had so much fun playing in the snow but were a little disappointed that the snow tube section was not open for the day as the weather was not ideal.
Walking out on the plateau felt like such an adventure as the wind was so strong and the ground was so slippery. On the whole, it was an incredible experience but we are not sure if we would visit this place again as it is very expensive. Do bring along your own snacks and hot drinks if you want to save some money as a cup noodle costs almost CHF8!

My family of 6 adults just came back from Jungfraujouch today and I'm still in awe and wonder at what I saw at the top! Every part of the tour was a wonder... and personally it was quite amusing to be in summer gear at 32 degrees and then ending up in winter gear at 1 degree. My biggest regret was not wearing proper shoes with a good grip so I was looking like a kid on their first skating experience when I was at the ice castle. Couldn't go out to the snow play area due to my shoes.

This is a spectacular trip and well worth the cost. Be prepared though for lots of tourists and excessive prices at the top so take a picnic lunch and robust shoes for walking in the snow.

It's hard to add any new information to what all the previous reviewers have said. Save your pennies and wait for a perfect weather day: don't miss the Jungfraujoch! However, please just let me remind all visitors to put on a LOT of sunscreen before spending time doing any of the outdoor activities (such as the sledging, tubing or zipline). Even just standing around for 10 or 15 minutes with a hat on will still cause a sunburn.

This is a trip worth making if you have the time to spend. I would say you'll need a good half day if you want to take things easy and wander around at your own pace. Don't underestimate how long it will take you to actually get to the top. We parked our car at Lauterbrunnen railway station and took the train from there to Kleine Scheidigg and then you need to change trains to go up to Jungfraujoch. There are a couple of stopping points on the way up where you can take photos - take this opportunity as the train does not stop for photos on the way down. The Jungfraujoch itself is spectacular. The views are amazing. A few tips - take good walking shoes for snow and ice, even in the summertime, as without them, you'll be too busy trying to keep your footing. Additionally, there is a lot of walking, so if you're not too good on your feet or in a wheelchair, it's worth ringing ahead and asking about accessibility. You'll need a coat and warm clothing as it it's cold up there even when it is 25degC+ in Lauterbrunnen - don't make the mistake of many tourists and turn up in shorts and t-shirt as unless you're made of strong stuff, you'll be freezing! There is a lot to see inside and outside the complex - the ice palace was particularly nice. The trains can get busy at peak times, especially with tour groups - we didn't have an issue with getting a seat, but there was just two of us, and we did see bigger groups having to split up. The food in the restaurants is priced very similar to what you would expect in Switzerland and there seemed to be a fairly large choice (A la carte, international buffet and Indian buffet). Well worth a visit - even though it costs a bit for a day out!
