“Great hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 2, 2013

A really nice small hotel in a great location. The room was large, clean, modern and new even though the building is very old. Friendly staff and a good breakfast included in the price. There is no elevator in this building so have to carry bags up quite a few stairs.

Awesome location, wonderful owners, delicious breakfasts. Next time we are in Solothurn we will definitely book this B&B again. We had the room at the top with 3 windows. Nice and bright and very welcoming. Great job guys

We chose this hotel because of its proximity (5 minutes walk) to the pier (after a boat trip from Neuchâtel to Solothurn). We had a very spacious room (junior suite) overlooking an internal courtyard - it was spotlessly clean with a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, expresso machine and tea maker. It was quite noisy when we went to bed due to a nearby restaurant terrace but, we slept well with the windows closed. Excellent breakfast choice. Definitely a hotel to recommend

Room Tip: There is no lift so if you have problems climbing stairs, ask for a room on the 1st floor

As a family of five we pitched up on the off-chance of a room, which they had. One of the managers (the tiny one!) was very helpful. He showed us the room and when we arrived later to check-in he had put in a fan for us (as it was very warm).
Breakfast was fine and there was even a fridgeful of beer downstairs to which I was able to help myself on an "honesty box" basis.
Only (small) issue is lack of parking but as previous reviewer mentioned, public parking fairly near.

Good choice for that price. Small hotel in the 400th old house. Partly nice renovated. Very clean and comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Breakfest with all you need, you can also order the eggs if you wish.

Very nice small hotel, at walking distance to the city center. No parking in front but public parking very close, at very reasonable fares. The building is historic, it has been renewed with modern elemements that make a very nice contrast with the old wooden ceiling and floors. No minibar but a bottle of sparkling water is offered in your room, and downstairs there's a fridge with beers wine ice tee etc.
Breakfast is OK. The quality/price ratio is excellent!

One of the managers is terribly rude (the tiny one). He is completely unprofessional and insane. He is ready to put on a fight for any small issue, it seems he's going to have a nervous break down anytime.
He gives the best anti-propaganda to the hotel.
If you don't know how to treat clientele, don't open a hotel or at least don't run it yourself!
