“Fourteen hairpin bends!”
Reviewed August 28, 2012

There's a great walk (ca. 4 hours round trip) to this scenic plateau, starting at the Ferme Robert and hiking up a total of 14 hairpin bends to the top. Wander around at the top, and you'll find an excellent vantage point from which (on a very clear day) you can see as far as Lake Geneva. KEEP AWAY FROM THE EDGE. It's scary, but there's a fence behind which sensible people walk. Your circular hike finishes with a partially rather steep walk through the forest - watch out for the deer. If you don't want to walk, it's possible to drive up from Noiraigue and park near a little chalet that serves basic food and drink (cheese fondue, sausages, soup and the like).

“Very rewarding one day excursion”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

We took advantage of a rental bike arrangement of Swiss Railway. One can purchase this package excursion ticket at SBB (Swiss National Railway) major stations. By way of Neuchatel we travel to Noiraigue by train. At the Noiraigue railway station we received electric bicycles. Each of us received a well maintained electric bike including two batteries. This SBB arrangement also included chocolate tasting at the end of the tour. At the Noiraigue station-shop we can even buy local chocolate of various kinds. The way is well indicated and we practically followed the hiking way. It was a quite an exercise even with an electric bike. On the way back we took a detour taking the normal road way, through beautiful Jura forest, biking down to Noirraigue by way of Travers.

“Great round trip on one of the most scenic hiking trips in Switzerland”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

No big talking about it - just do it.... If you take the long tour (approx. 5.5 h) be assured you will be exhausted physically by the steep track up and down.

Easy hike to an impressive place, classified as a national park in Switzerland. View is amazing and of you are lucky, you can wild life like chamois, linx.... or more easier, the Alps on the back on a sunny day

“Nice, Short Trip”
Reviewed May 12, 2012

It's a huge gorge or something. I think I read it's Switzerland's Grand Canyon. Uhh, I've never been to the Grand Canyon, so I don't have the proper perspective. What I can tell you is that it has stunning views, the hike is easy especially if you're carting around one year old twins and there's a cafe/farmhouse at the start and finish of your hike.
