Me and my wife visited the restaurant as it was tone of the first restaurants a the bus station we got off at. The restaurant was packed and had a good vibe. The waiters were very helpful and were able to speak English very well.

Our food was excellent and the wine list was affordable compared to the rest of Switzerland we however found the meals a bit pricy for the food obtained (+/- 40 CHF per plate).

Nice restaurant, but will visit other restaurants in the area for that price!

My best friend and I dined here tonight on our first night in Lucerne. Our waiter Pedro was incredible! We had the most delicious cheese fondu, French wine and schnapps. The service was second to none and the food to die for! They were busy inside (sign of a good restaurant) however we were happy to sit outside on a mild autumn night as we were used to the weather and the courtyard is just gorgeous! We will be back tomorrow to try the chocolate fondu. Don't let the other reviews put you off, this quaint restaurant is certainly worth the wait!

Worth going just for the pictures (and poems) on this and nearby buildings and the surrounding area. It was very busy, but we found service quick and friendly (more than could be said for some of the other customers!). Good traditional Swiss food - rosti, fondue, lake fish - and wine. Don't suppose it was any more expensive than a similar meal in any Swiss city. Unlike another reviewer, I found the ladies' toilet quite clean and OK, although maybe not as pristine as some. Limited outside seating, but we were lucky; inside is very traditional Swiss. I think they also have rooms.

Third time here over th past 8 years and, I'm happy to say, the smoke smell is gone and the plce is a pleasure to visit. Stopped in for fondue and local weiswein on jet-lag day. Nothing could be better for a Swiss welcome.
