This very chic hotel is well placed for the lake, but a good few mins walk round the back of the railway station and near a school - not as good at night. Be aware that tour buses can deliver coaches of passengers at late hours if you are a light sleeper. Good to have dark blinds.

Great food and choice at breakfast. Service a bit aloof.

Spa lovely but pool too cold for swimming - as was chiller room!

Dear guest
Thank you so much for taking your time to rate our hotel. Sometimes it is not easy to meet all the expectations of our clients and being well situated in the heart of the city there is always the risk that you hear some traffic in the evening. Nevertheless we hope you enjoyed your stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne with its unique design and we would be more than happy to welcome you here again, so that we get a second chance to convince you of our best Yes I can - attitude. Kind regards M. Conzelmann

My impressions of the Radisson Blue Lucerne couldn't be better. Very friendly staff all over. The hotel offers very comfortable classy modern rooms kept really clean with inspections after every room service. Our room was very spacious with a cool bathtub and a great view to the lake. Breakfast was varied and the meals offered were of great quality. Facilities include sauna and a fitness room we got the chance to try and in addition you get a fantastic view from the mountains, once it's located on the higher floor (I just can't remember which anymore). Besides it all, the hotel is a few steps from the train station and from the city center. What else you could ask for? Yes, the pricing I must say. But it's all worth it!

Room Tip: Try to ask for the room with a lake view and a relaxing bathtub, you won't regret!

We are very happy to hear that you liked the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne. Many thank you for taking your time to rate us. We love our lake view rooms as well and it's a little bit sad that the hotel isn't surrounded by the lake so that we can offer nothing but such wonderful rooms :-). Stay for 2 nights. Property is excellent. Room spacious, extra large window. Minimalist design, Lobby is marvellous, ample of seats and contemporary-modern-bright color furniture. My room 440,
has a lake view! Love it. The only things that I feel is lack of service attitude in the restaurant. First they won't let me eat a cup noodle. Second they took my eating utensils and plate without asking if i've done with my food. On the next day, I saw some of the tourist (asian) having the cup noodle too. While the day before was forbidden. I stay in Radisson Blu in Milan, and they have no objection at all. The only comforting things is the open air breakfast area, which located at the side of the hotel. Smoking is allowed there. I would live to go back, since the property is beyond my expectation. But until they made some training and improvement, and enforce the non-cup-noodle regulation equally and fairly, I will consider again.

Dear Guest
We apologize for the disappointing service you received from our staff. Our Team works hard to make sure our guests are comfortable and receive our best Yes I can service. It is usually not alowed to bring your own food in the restaurant area so maybe it was just a misunderstanding that not all of our guests were treatened equally. To discuss your concern further please contact the Radisson Blu Hotel, Lucerne directly and ask for Janine Bieri. janine.bieri@radissonblu.com. We are very glad that you were happy with your room and the infrastructure and we hope we can welcome you as our guest again in spite of the inconvenience. Kind regards. M.Conzelmann

After arriving at Lucerne station with suitcases and cabin bags we found the Raddison Blu just a short walk along a smooth bitumen footpath. Whilst the hotel itself was a bit hit & miss the location was brilliant as it was both close to the train station but also to the water bus station that has you traversing Lake Lucerne in just a few minutes.
On our arrival at 2.30 we were eventually greeted by the statement that check in is at 3pm and your room is not ready until then. This goes against the managements statement of a 'Yes we can' attitude as the hotel has barely any guests the 3 nights of our stay. We dutifully left our cases and headed off to look around the empty town on a Sunday. On our return the room was ready, the rooms are really quite large and the styling a bit out there and the non lake view rooms have a rather drab outlook on another building, looks like a school/university?
Housekeeping needs a shake up as we were rationed to 1 cake of soap, for shower & hand basin for our stay, only 'herbal' tea bags, no replacement of used coffee/sweeteners & the room was never cleaned over those 3 days, just the bathroom wiped down & the towels replaced and the bedding made. We had a king size bed but were surprised that the duvet did not even reach the sides of the bed, let alone was completely inadequate once 2 people were under it. We requested and eventually received an extra duvet, so that we could both be covered. This confused housekeeping who just folded them up each day, as they obviously had no idea what to do with 2.
Apart from the above some lights in the room did not work, however there was an iron & ironing board to get those crumpled clothes ironed out. Bed and pillows were great and we had a wonderful sleep whilst we were there, in combination with the shutters and curtains.
Fitness centre had a selection of equipment to enable an effective workout though only 1 treadmill(always popular) plus a steam room and 2 saunas, which was much appreciated.
We did not dine at the 'Luce' restaurant although the menu did look inviting as we were always getting back to Lucerne in the evening around dinner time.
A good hotel but can do with some improvement but in an excellent location close to everything.

Stayed for 3 nights, this hotel is in a solid location right by the railway station, no taxi needed! Check in was smooth and very informative in terms of tourist attractions. Room is really big for European standards, very comfortable bed. Heavy duty shades to create a dark room (power shades, blackout curtains). Had breakfast and dinner in restaurant and it was great - both food and service. Only negative of the stay was that we found the room warm (room temperature in Europe seems to higher than North America based on the 5 hotels we stayed in). In the hotel's defense, we didn't bring this up as an issue, so they didn't get an opportunity to fix it.

Overall a good hotel and I would stay here again if I visit Lucerne.
