We came from Geneva on a daytrip to see this bridge. It is beautiful and even better than I had hoped for. The bride is easy to find from the railway station: come out, turn left and cross the road to walk a few metres along the river bank.
The bridge is heavily transited by tourists, but there was plenty of space to stop and take pictures. Under the eaves there are some lovely paintings of incidents from the history of - I assume - Lucerne that are well worth a look at. The views from the bridge are beautiful and the water in the river underneath crystalline, with plenty of swans and ducks swiming on it.
