You can't go to Lucerne and skip the Lion Monument. It's beautiful and the story behind it makes it even more so. The mortally wounded lion's expression is something to behold. They dying lion lies upon symbols of the French monarchy and the inscription refers to the Siss Guardsmen wo were killed in the French Revolution. The water in front of the monument is beautiful and the lion can be seen just above. This was very moving.
