Hotel was close to downtown for shopping and sight-seeing. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. The Swiss are a little tight and there was no coffee machine in room. There was hot water in the lobby but no coffee mugs and no tea/coffee. We found that unusual. We had little time to spend in the hotel as we were a scheduled excusions, but the hotel breakfast was very good. And we got coffee. We found coffee in Europe to be less than great, despite with others said. There was plenty of chocolate but it is still cheaper to buy the Swiss bars in Canada then in Lucerne. we did enjoy the Swiss night, lovely downtown.

Room tip: All rooms look out to glorious swiss scenery

We stayed here as part of a river cruise accommodations while awaiting going to Bern for boarding the boat. It was a decent hotel. It was clean. The bathrooms while modern, have generic bodywash and shampoo, NO CONDITIONER. The tubs are really deep and narrow, so much so that the shower curtain clings to the body as you shower. They can be a fall risk for older folks. The rooms have 2 twin beds that cannot be pushed together. The beds are very comfortable though. The dining is standard german fare with little options for vegetarians aside from Rosti and more rosti. We chose to eat in town.

p We had booked this trip through Go Ahead Tours. It was beautifully organized by the tour operator and we enjoyed all the places showed in each and every country. They provided good hotels (all four stars) with good breakfast at each and dinner for two nights. The entire trip was a great experience learning history of II World War for all places visited, taking lot of pictures, stunning beauty of nature.Overall it was very successful and safe trip with a group of 30 very nice people, mostly from United States.

We stayed at this hotel when four different English-speaking tour groups and one Asian tour group also arrived. The bar and dining room were overflowing, elevators were always jammed and noise level was unbearable at times. The hotel is beautiful and rooms were very nice, comfortable beds and nice amenities. Good location with a short walk into town, or take the city bus that stops just outside the hotel.

The hotel is clean and efficienty run. Very helpful staff. Classic fine Switerland hotel.Great views of the Mountains and walking distance to the river and Marina..Public transportation just outside the hotel. Beautiful shopping and restaurants just minutes from the hotel. This hotel is nestled in a quite part of town. Beautiful waterfront shops and historic wooden bridges. Great value and peaceful.
