I loved the spacious dining area and the attentive, smiling staff. They all make you want to relax, forget about time and money and enjoy your evening. Lovely fireplace.

Fantastic Italian cuisine, in quality and quantity. Indeed, for aperitive, they bring a dozen of dishes or, better said, platters full of olives, tomatoes, artichoks, etc. - all extremely juicy and tasteful. Same thing for the desserts, where they bring you a rolling buffet but also penty of dishes, with fresh fruits, candies, etc. The wine list is excellent. If you never try, you definitely should !

Dinner with family- FINALLY I managed to enjoy a meal and meet Valentino (the owner).

Was not disappointed.
YES- the price of the dishes is expensive - WHY? Because there are lots of other parts built in!

Large hunk of parmesan cheese at your table to carve from as you please, enormous baskets of fresh radishes and delicious cherry tomatoes that you get as you browse the menu...same ritual at the end this time with heaping bowls of figs, grapes and other seasonal fresh fruits...not sure how anyone manages the delicious looking fruit cart after that.

Yes, it's pricey! But it's not about price- it's about value....and the value is there.

Servers and the owners are there every night- and this for YEARS....real continuity speaks volumes about the place. You can tell most of the customers are regulars.

Authentic dishes served with care.

YES we were there last night and it was a struggle to get the check- but if you start penalizing restaurants on the speed at which the check arrives after a great meal, you are missing the point.

A huge 1.5L bottle of Chianti was placed on our table at the start of the meal and its only at the end that they bill you for what you drank....again...if you are trying to optimize on every cost, run away...this place has too many built in extras and yeah, it will cost more than you average costing and very average tasting Italian restaurant around Lake Geneva.

Finally, the ambiance is great, all of Geneva is here....though to be fair, it's the 1% of Geneva....which is saying something given the wealth in GVA. Lots of families so children of all ages (I was there with my parents)....which makes for a great vibe- Italian style.

Wonderful little escape to Italy for a couple of hours.

Warmly recommended to like minded people and looking forward to my next visit.

Have been coming to eat at Valentino's restaurant for the last 12 years. It is always pure fun, fantastic food and unique atmosphere. A bit more expensive than many other Italian, but 100% worth it. You are not only coming to eat, but to enjoy the ambience.

We came here with a group of 10 - it was for business and I didnt pay so I cant comment on the cost. The evening was fab - we were sitting outside in the pretty garden, spoiled by the wonderful extras the lovely waiters kept bringing for us (ok - you might want to check if/ what you pay for those). Before we even ordered, bowls of super fresh radishes and tomatoes landed on the table, together with large chunks of cheese and lovely bread. From the various starters i enjoyed the burrata most (and was slightly disappointed by the dry grilled vegetables). Pasta main courses are over CHF 30 and my Tagliata was CHF 52 - so cheap it aint, but the whole experience and the quality of the food was really enjoyable. I didnt even manage to sample from the desert trolley, although they did bring us lots of other sweets. Maybe best to come here if someone else is paying! ;-))
