“smelly”

If you want your clothes to smell of fondue for a week, then this is the place to go. It feels crammed all year round. This is the best restaurant in Geneva for fondue, so EVERYONE goes there, so the place is always full and you don't have enough space to feel at ease, because you know you will have to find a pace for lifting your elbows so they don't hit both your neighbours. Also, you can't get anything else than fondue.

“Slightly off the beaten path, but a great fondue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2013

Located about a 10 minute walk from the Palais des Nations, Cafe du Soleil was recommended as a great place for a Swiss meal and did not disappoint. The restaurant feels local, is very popular (reservations recommended), and served an excellent cheese fondue. Desserts looked excellent as well, not that we had the appetite to try any after the fondue.

“thanks Trip Advisor - thanks to you I found the best cheese fondue "cafe du soleil" in Geneva”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

I wanted to eat Cheese Fondue and had very little tiome to do it as i only had a few hours in Geneva. So i found the address for Cafe Du Soleil and as soon as I arrived at Geneva Airport we drive to this place hopeing to find two places to taste Cheese Fondue - It was packed but the host was great and allowed up to eat as long as we left by a certain time whihc suited us fine (considering we just dropped in without a reservation. The Fondue was excellent, the service great, the staff VERY friendly and the price was fair.. all in all a great experience which I recommend to all wishing to taste Cheese Fondue in Geneva
