sono stato diverse volte in quasto ristorante; tuttavia recentemente la qualità è decisamente scesa.
Decisamente troppo caro per il servizio offerto, si puo' mangiare molto meglio con meno!

I Have been many times in this restaurant however recently I have been there and probably I will never come back again! Too expensive for the quality and quantity of food served.
In Geneva you can have better meals with less money!

I fantasize about the sauce that this steak-frites restaurant puts on everything. I would be happy just to eat a bowl of the stuff without the meat and potatoes. There are whole websites devoted to trying to discern the secret ingredients in this old family recipe. You will not be disappointed!

I come here every time I'm in Geneva, and it's always just as good. Great atmosphere, simple meal (all they serve is steak and fries), and the sauce...to die for! Plus a fabulous list of desserts and a good selection of wine. Get there early if you want a table. It opens the doors at 7, and you should be standing in line if you want to eat on the first shift!

YUM.

We used to quite regularly eat there but on latter vists we thought the standard of steak had gone down - it was tough with smaller portions. Decided to give l'entrecote one more chance. It has improved although salad was small and sauce now s bit acidic. Will go back although very pricey now even more considering the exchange rate
chf 42 per person for meal of one course

As in other reviewers comments, you don't get a menu here...it's all about beautifully cut, grilled and presented "Steak/Frites", a French classic with sublime Cafe de Paris sauce. We found the staff friendly and fun and amazingly patient with us considering they serve upwards of 500 dinners in an evening and the place only sits 120! Anyone wanting leisurely charm is looking in the wrong place but that is part of this restaurant's whole raison d'etre!

They do not accept reservations at the weekends but if you are there from 7 on, you are more or less guaranteed a seat and quickly too. Lunchtimes and during the week, I understand they do accept reservations.

A real bonus is the fact you don't fight through one steak but get it served in two helpings with wonderfully crisp chips (fries or frites) each time. This is not announced, it simply happens.

Everything done on proper china, silverware with linen tablecloths and napkins and correctly dressed staff.

We will definitely be back to this brilliant institution!

It is a must-go restaurant in Genebra. The classic ambiance resembles an old French bistro. To start, a green salad is served. There's only one type of beef: the superb steak with the top secret sauce which is a family recipe. The meat is really tender and is accompanied by French fries. After you have finished, the waitress serves you the "other half" of the steak and more fries!!! That's great because it gives you another chance to eat delightfully! The only (small) inconvenient is the waiting time depending the time of your arrival.
