We had a beautiful sunny day to enjoy so we boarded one the of the boats that takes the 1 1/2 hour tour of the Lake. It was beautiful and there was no other way we could have covered so much of the geography.

a really nice place to take a walk and see the surrounding city. You can also take a water Taxi to the other side! See the world famous fountain and if you are like me, you will marvel at how CLEAN the water is !

We were short for time in Geneva and unfortunately didn't get to explore the lake as much as we would of liked.

We did however make use of our free transport passes (if staying in a hotel in Geneva, you are provided with tickets that enable you free transport in the Geneva area) - this included the yellow water ferries that cross from one side of the lake to the other within the Geneva city limits. We made use of these tickets to use the ferry to get to the Science Museum, Botanical Gardens and a walk up to the UN building, in addition to visiting the old town.

We ferried past the Jet d'Eau (ferry #3) and were able to take some stunning photos from the water that just wouldn't be possible from the shore.

If short for time and want to explore a corner of the lake - then this is best way to do it!

Nice lake with expensive houses and hotels around it. You can catch a booat tour around the lake pretty cheap. You buy tickets at the lake. Don't do it through a tour group, go direct and save heaps
