They have a shop close to the factory. A very wide selection of fine black chocolate especially "Avelines". Hummmm

“Our favorite choclate shop”
Reviewed January 10, 2014

This is a must stop for us when in Geneva; my staff really appreciates the chocolate; not inexpensive but not out of this world on price; have never done a tour of the facility, but only travel to the shop. We discovered this chocolate factory while at a B&B in Versoix; which is a quaint small village on the lake served by both buses and trains and ferries.
Catch the local train on the SBB (free if you are a tourist in Geneva using the transportation card given to you by the hotel) and get off at Versoix station, walk toward the right but not down from the station past a garden shop and you will see a road coming under the railroad tracks, turn left at the road (the factory building will loom in front of you) and you will be at the factory. The shop entrance is about 50 yards down from the intersection.

“Very fun, but must plan far in advance”
Reviewed June 25, 2013

We wanted to take visitors on a tour of a chocolate factory. We had been to the Cailler factory in Broc and loved it, but it is 90 minutes away from Geneva by car. To try something closer, we looked to Favarger. While no reservations are needed at Cailler and any number of you can visit, you need to book at Favarger about 3 weeks in advance at http://www.favarger.com and need a minimum of 10 people (we requested a tour in English). As of this writing, Favarger only offers these tours on Thursday afternoons. There is a huge price difference as well. Cailler is free for children and 10 francs for adults. Favarger costs 15 francs for children and 25 francs for adults.
The Cailler tour is definitely more "fun" since there are sounds and lights and bling and the tour ends with the most fantastic unlimited tasting room. But you walk through displays. The Favarger tour is the actual floor of the factory. We had to wear plastic gowns and hair and shoe protectors for sterile purposes. That was fun. And we got to peer into the actual machines as chocolate was being churned, which you don't get to do at Cailler. Our guide was wonderful and knowledgeable and provided more lively information than the rather dry posters and displays at Cailler. Favarger's final tasting room included unlimited samples of about five types of chocolate; they were all in a large bowl and you could take out whatever you wanted. It was not a very blingy display as in Cailler, which had unlimited tastings of about 20 types of chocolate. The Favarger tasting room doesn't have the "wow" effect that Cailler has. The Favarger tour gave us all small gift bags of chocolate, which Cailler does not do. Both tours end in the gift shop so that you can buy even more chocolate.
Also, most if not all, of the Favarger chocolate has nuts in it. Cailler provides much much more variety.
All in all, Cailler is more "fun" and exciting, while Favarger is more interesting and "real" since you tour an actual factory during production. If you are going to visit Gruyeres anyway, then go to Cailler since Broc is only a few kilometers away. If you don't want a long excursion (3 hours round trip by car from Geneva) for chocolate, then definitely go to Favarger but you must book far in advance and round up some folks to make a group of ten (I don't know if you can join an existing small group).
