I got so used to Ibis chain delivering decent experience for budget price that this is what I now expect when I book. I wasn't disappointed this time either. The room was rather bigger than the usual Ibis room, which may have been so because it was on the building corner at the end of the corridor. The bed was comfortable, the TV had a good selection of channels, the Internet was fast & free and the breakfast was decent though with limited selection. Overall, a very good stay.
At check-in I even did get a card for free unlimited rides on public transport in Geneva - courtesy of the local city council. A great idea especially for tourists that other cities should consider.
Tip: this hotel is easily reachable on foot from the railway station. Don't even bother with a taxi unless you have lots of luggage.
