“Enjoyable”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

The audio guide machine was easy to work and very good and clear wording. It seems impossible to believe how clever people were so long ago and how they managed to build and create such a wonderful Cathedral the film showing the men digging out the site was very good and clear.

Old steps going down so had to be careful.

“Fascinating”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

I found this site particularly interesting, especially as the different renovations were denoted with color coded labels throughout. You could clearly see how, over the centuries, the church site was developed, enlarged, remodeled with successive redo's overlaying previous ones. The information wand is worth the trouble. (French explanations are better than the english ones.) If you climb the tower of St. Pierre's cathedral, which is a separate activity entirely and accomplished from inside the cathedral, be sure to watch for the entrance to the view galleries. These are very poorly marked and easily missed. But the views from there are among the best of Geneva.

“Up close to a real dig!”
Reviewed September 11, 2013

I found it an interesting experience, as I had never been in a real archeological site before. It would probably hold more interest for someone who was into religion, history or both, but it was certainly something different. My favourite parts were the skeleton, the mosaic floor and the layers showing where the old building had burned down. It was quite extensive, and there was a lot of information in English and French, including an audio guide included in entry fee. Great activity for a rainy day!
