The wall is one of Geneva's best-known tourist sites with large sculptures of John Calvin, John Knox, and two lesser known patrons of the Reformation. What made for a delicious irony on my walk by these solemn legends of stone was a group of about 10 20-somethings - complete with piercings, hair dyed in colors not found in nature, dogs, and cigarettes - dancing to punk rock and rap played on a portable boom box. Can only imagine what the illustrious church fathers behind them were thinking!
