It was the first evening in Europe after arriving Paris early AM and doing business all day and ending in Geneva. We couldn't imagine the thought of sitting through dinner at one of the more formal restaurants in the hotel, and even less venturing out to find a good place.
So, we landed at a table in the lobby bar named Marco Polo. We enjoyed some cold beer and bar food sandwiches. The beer was cold, and I tried a 'swiss hamburger', which ended up being very interesting- not a hamburger patty, but shreds of real meat on a nice bun. It was delicious.
the service was friendly - the bartender helped us with information on the local beers and wines. There were only a couple of other tables going, but this was a relaxing time, and just what the doctor ordered.
If you are looking for a crazy Bar Scene in Geneva (if it exists!) or for a fancy dining experience, this is not the place. But for a casual dinner this is a good place near to the airport.
