The hotel is very well-located with many rooms having a great view of the lake or Jardin Anglais. I stayed in a lifestyle room, which was very well-designed and interesting. I must have spent about half an hour just checking out the room features after checking in! I really enjoyed the rain shower in the bathroom, and the towels must have been the softest hotel towel I've ever felt. The ceiling heights are very high and you have a large window in your room permitting a lot of natural light.

The service at the front desk is fantastic. Everything is done quickly and with a smile. I had a slight issue with my room which was resolved immediately, and someone from the front desk ensured that the issue was resolved when I returned from a night out. This hotel would be perfect for anyone who wants to go shopping or is checking out Old Town. Highly recommended.

Room was nice, breakfast very nice, hotel location is ideal, personnel helpful. The only missing point in this hotel is the possibility for people with reduced mobility to go around easily. The hotel is not equipped for that. I don’t understand why the hotel is not investing in such field. From the moment you reach the hotel you realize that the entrance hampers anyone with a wheel chair to access the reception ( easy to install a small kind of lift to overcome this challenge). To go to the breakfast area in the morning it is also a challenge. The only way is to use the back service lift and to enter the restaurant from the kitchen (better than nothing but definitely unpleasant!).
I like anyway the hotel for its location. Would advise the management to seriously think about making the life of guests with reduced mobility easier.

We have duly noted your comment about access of guests with reduced mobility. Please, kindly note that the hotel will undergo a complete renovation at the end of 2020 so public areas as well as rooms will be updated and access for guests with reduced mobility should get easier.

We look forward to welcoming you again.

It is a very nice hotel just across the jardins anglais and the lake. It was a perfect location to stay overnight after watching the amazing Geneva fireworks. We had a drink in the lobby bar (the rooftop bar was closed for a private event)and the breakfast buffet is very nice as well. Hope to stay again soon!

I stayed there for one night. The reason for the stay was business. The room was clean, the staff were friendly. The hotel is close to the lake/river. You can walk around close to shops and attractions.

I'm learning that the things that make a hotel truly great are the staff, the location, and comfortable rooms. The Metropole definitely ranks an A+ in all three categories. Geneva is a terribly expensive city, so no decent hotel will be low-priced. The Metropole was worth every penny.

Room tip: The lake view room was wonderful.
