My wife and I recently stayed at this luxurious hotel for 3 nights as part of a BA City Break. I can honestly tell you that this hotel is simply divine! The service is exceptional and the attention to detail is first class. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The room, the location, the view from the Lake View rooms.....it's amazing!

Honest opinion...we will only stay at this hotel when we visit Geneva! It is superb!

I spent one fantastic night at The Hotel D’Angleterre this Easter Weekend. Our room was really beautiful and luxurious with a view on Lake Geneva. We received some nice Easter chocolate and a welcome drink on arrival. We had a drink at the fabulous Leopard Bar before enjoying a nice dinner at the Window restaurant (make sure to leave space for the mouth watering desserts, specially their chocolate sorbet and crème brulée). The staff is really welcoming, helpful and so friendly! Breakfast was excellent as well. This is the kind of hotel where you simply don’t want to leave. I will certainly be back!

Room Tip: The premium rooms are really nice with a lounge and a big bathroom.

Dear Laure,

"Merci Beauoup", I am really pleased to read how much you have enjoyed you stay with us, including time in our fantastic Leopard Bar. I have forwarded your thanks to our Pastry Chef who has prepared your favourite desserts as well as the home-made Easter Chocolate.

By the way, if it is too difficult for you to leave the hotel, there is a way to be kind to yourself : stay longer and we’ll keep on pampering you !

Hope we'll greet you soon !

Having just returned from a 2 night stay at The Hotel D'Angleterre, Geneva , the hotel has the perfect location directly opposite the Geneva Fountain. There is not a hotel with a better location in Geneva in my opinion. The staff are beyond Five Star - their attentiveness without being intrusive was perfect. Service , ambience and food quality at breakfast with Mountain and Fountain views offers the perfect start to the day. The cosy , warm and inviting Leopard Bar downstairs with Live musical entertainment which is obvisously a hugely popular venue as the only bar apparently offering live classy music.
I highly recommend this hotel as a place to stay for a short getaway break.

Room Tip: The Junior Suite with the Balcony

We stayed at this hotel for two nights on 15th/16th March. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we received exceptional service from all the staff at the hotel. It truly lives up to the recent reviews we have read. The service ethos of this hotel group is extraordinary. Not only was the service excellent but our Classic room (321) was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The only negative comment we could make is the annoying blue light in the bathroom and the fact that the chandelier 'tinkled' when anyone in the room above moved about!
We ate in the Leopard Bar one night and had breakfast and a snack lunch in the Windows Restaurant. All the food was delicious.
This is not a cheap hotel but we certainly felt we had received value for money. As a result we intend to stay at the groups hotel in Palm Beach Florida next month.

We have been staying at the Hotel d'Angleterre for only 4-5 years. Before then at another lakeside hotel. Time wasted. Missing out on an experience that is sublime. Other Hotel Groups we stay with include the usual quality names such as 'The One & Only'. The d'Angleterre is sooo wonderful it's a shame to have to go out and sight-see the grand Geneva. One is met with familiar welcoming faces. One is smoothly delivered to ones room. So pleasantly and easily...one feels unsure wether we have checked in or not!!! We always go for rooms with a lake view. We have Never been disappointed The rooms are luxurious yet very comfortable with exquisite little extras such as biscuits, fruits , wonderful range of toiletries, super soft thick towels and wonderful robes ( which are very fairly priced)! Housekeeping under the vidulant eye of Barbara is of the highest standard. Attention to detail and service all the way with the Hotel d'Angleterre. The cuisine ( seems an insult to say food) is an experience all of its own. Philippe Audonnet is the Chef de Cuisine. His love affair with food is so evident in all areas. To dine in Windows is an exceptional experience. The restaurant is beautiful and every whim is catered for by the discreetly attentive staff. Another 'Must' is a visit for an evening drink in The Leopards Bar. The decor is fabulous. The bar is so full of atmosphere and again the service is spot on. While sitting there ( beside an open fire )my husband and I were discussing the music...saying we both enjoyed Adele and the piped music....only to discover we were listening to live music. A most wonderful female entertainer. Incredible!
I can not praise The Hotel d'Angleterre enough. It has NEVER failed in any area but just seems to improve.....how! I don't know.
It's an experience that one just has to savour. It's a real Love Affair

My wife and I sat at breakfast this morning discussing our favourite hotels around the world ... like The Lowell in New York, The Draycott in London, the Duc de St. Simon in Paris, Maria Christina in San Sebastian, Park Hyatt in Sydney and the 4 Seasons in Denver. Geneva's Hotel d'Angleterre is definitely high on our Top-10 list.
We have stayed here whenever in Geneva and they have never missed a beat with us.
This time we were driving home from 2 weeks of skiing in Klosters with kids/grandkids visiting from Australia who would get up at 6.00am from excitement and jet-lag.
We had room service in our dressing gowns and slept undisturbed for over 9 hours in the wonderfully comfortable bed and great pillows.
Our room (as always) was large and well appointed with a walk-in wardrobe and big bathroom, with every known amenity.
The room service, 2 different salads, pasta and a schnitzel large enough for a family of 4, with a well recommended local Pinot Noir was very good and came soon after ordering despite it being a busy Saturday night.
Breakfast at the Angleterre is magical with a selection to suit the fussiest tastes (and the Italian beside us proved it this morning with his demands for orange juice squeezed within the last hour and blackberries) and great views over the lake.
The staff here are the jewel in the crown, from the car valet on arrival, the porters, the front desk and concierge service are all well trained and helpful.
This is not an inexpensive hotel, but we have always felt that it's quality, comfort and service well outweigh it's cost.
