“Good food, great atmosphere, great service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2014

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. They have nice covered outdoor seating with a screened in area. waiter was excellent and gave good recommendations for food even though he didnt speak any english. overall great experience, recommend the fondue and tartar which were very reasonably priced for the city and as good as i have had anywhere else in Europe.

“Not impressed”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 5, 2014

On arriving, we found that the particular table that we had reserved had been filled; we were given a table in the main restaurant - very cramped - the basket of bread was rested on the lamp! My partner's glass was chipped which we pointed out to the waiter - he examined it carefully before concluding that we were correct. Switzerland is expensive, but the wine list started at 42-48 Suisse francs rising to over 850 - most people were drinking water - nous aimons bien l'eau de Geneve. The staff were clearly arguing over something and hence service was slow. We chose fondues - silly not to try them since one is in Switzerland; no idea if it was a good fondue or not, but did not look particularly difficult to cook. Trying to get the bill was also a challenge - we incentivised them by putting on our coats and starting to walk out. 56 ChF for a meal for two that was not that pleasant! We would not go there again, but would visit either the Edelweiss that was twice as expensive but much better ambience, service and fun, or MacDonalds which had better ambience, service and cheaper or the pasta place around the corner. Probably designed for tourist coach parties with little alternative choice.

“Extremely friendly staff and plenty of options on the menu”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2014

A very traditional Suisse restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. The size of the salad we ordered for starter was enough for two adults and was very tasty. I ordered a fondue for my main and was unable to finish the whole thing. My husband was impressed with his pizza and the cost of the meal and drinks (120 euros) which is reasonable price for Switzerland

“Generous amount of fondue for two”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 22, 2014

My Boyfriend and I were recommended to try out this restaurant as it is well known for the best Fondue in Geneva. We ordered the basic cheese fondue for two CHF23 per person and 2 glasses of the swiss gamay wine which I thoroughly recommend for wine lovers out there!!The portion was quite alot and we were not able to finish it.The bread was dry and the cheese had abit too much wine in it but overall very delicious, friendly staff and the restaurant has a cosy yet welcoming atmosphere.
