This is not a particularly visual tour and the queuing and waiting in order to get in will only be worth it if you already from the start are keen enough on the subject to know that you will enjoy the visit. You will get the history of the UN in Geneva and that of some of the buildings. You will be able to say that you visited the UN and there are some nice photo opportunities. But do not expect anything special. In fact, the square in front of the main entrance where the "Broken chair" and the fountains is probably just as interesting. The neighbouring ICRC museum is more worthwhile of a visit.
