“No English by guide but chocolate samples made up for that!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 8, 2013 via mobile

We found at 20CHF each this to be quite expensive especially since you felt you had to buy chocolate at the end but our teenage children enjoyed the experience and followed most of what was said without the guide speaking any English.
Go enjoy the chocolate but dot expect to much sophostication!
It is small scale and hospitable

“COLD WELCOME ...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2012

We have reservé a visit has the chocolate factory, arrived on the scene we are welcomed by the person in charge Mme Antica (he(it) seems to me), cold welcome by this woman, we are find several groups, no organization, heuresement the visit was worth it, charming young man and fascinated by its work.
At the level of the welcome(reception), we were not conquered but the visit was very nice.
I would advise(recommend) the visit but not not etre recue by this woman!

“Recipe of the sweetest delicacy in the world!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

A few hours after I visited stettler chocolates laboratory, ! A warm welcome the moment you enter the door! Was served with a cold orange juice and a double cream sweet chocolate. After ,a more welcoming guide Rob' who gave me a plastic overall, head cover net and plastic cover for the shoes giving hygiene the first priority. I liked the way he explains every detail about the whole production process, from the varieties of the cocoa trees, regions they are grown, harvesting, fermentation, drying, classification of cocoa, different aromas used for blending high quality chocolate.
He didn't get tired of demonstrating the process involved in making this nice goody ,not forgetting Tasting!mmmmh!:)
The different machinery involved makes the work easier.
After I received a nice red pack full of stettler chocolates!
It's certain that" love is just like eating a large amount of chocolate!" (John Milton, the devils advocate)

If you want to know the secret behind chocolates, then make a point of visiting stettler chocolates!

“superb!”

we stayed in switerland for 3 weeks and this was one of the best highlights. we reserved one day in advance and got a private tour of the chocolatier with am amazing chef, he spoke good english and explained everything in detail.
we also got free bags of chocolate for each at the end. we payed 20 francs per person which isnt much considering you get the guided tour and free chocolates.
tip: go when you're hungry!

“Gorgeous, Brilliant, Yummy!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2010

I went for a tour with my partner - for 25 Swiss Francs each we had an hour tour with demonstrations and tasters along the way. The factory was much smaller than expected but this gave us a chance to talk to the different members of the team and observe the different parts of the process. You get to dress up in a white coat with hair and shoe protectors which was fun! And you get a small gift on the way out!

Note - you must book this in advance! We were told they only do tours in groups of 5 or more, but luckily another group of 3 had also booked so we were able to do the tour!
