“Excellent fondue in a fun atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

This was a great place to have a first meal in Switzerland. Family had highly recommended this hotel and restaurant and it was perfect. The food, the music, the character all delivered a truly wonderful experience. We had many fondue meals throughout our trip but this really was the best.

“A little touristy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 31, 2013 via mobile

The fondue here was ok, but this is a restaurant for tourists only, with alpine horns and accordions - fine if you are expecting them. They did a chocolate fondue for dessert but you had to buy a dish for two, which at 30 SF seemed rather steep, as only our 9 year old had enough room for one. Needless to say, we passed on this, as surely most do.

“Atmosphere but...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 30, 2013

Recommended to us by Its sister, Hotel Kipling Manotel, the restaurant features Swiss cuisine in a Swiss alpine setting. Wait staff wear alpine costumes and meals are accompanied by traditional alpine folk music well played by a clever duo. Yes, the place has atmosphere and was well patronised on the night of our visit.
Food was basic and the service efficient but there were no highlights for us.

“Excellent food and service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 26, 2013 via mobile

We had a great evening in this place!

The main course - typical Swiss, raclettte, fondue à la bourguignon -was very tasty and ended with a very filling fondue au chocolat with sauce framboise and crème brûle à la lavande. Both nicely presented and freshly made.

Impeccable service and great atmosphere with live traditional Swiss music (it's fun to listen to it from time to time)!

Definitely going back!

“Excellent quirky restaurant. Good food. Excellent entertainment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

This restaurant basically replicates a swiss chalet inside a hotel and you eat whilst some swiss band plays Bavarian music with a plethora of instruments. You can even try some of the most funky ones yourself. They let you.

The food is very good and the fact the place is packed is testimony to its success. We manage to get in without reservation with I would suggest you book ahead if you can.

Excellent food all around, very friendly service at reasonable prices. Would be very fun for kids too if you had any.
