We were dying for some good Indian food and ordered heaps of food. I must admit the starters were great but when the main meal came we were so disappointed. It only took two bit fulls to realise that there was no way we could eat this even though we were starving as hell. Told them that this is simply uneatable. My vegetarian curry tasted like a thai pre-mix curry with thai-oriented vegetables and my husband's lamb curry tasted weird. We weren't even sure if it was lamb in the first place.

Their excuse was that their "real" chef is on holiday and the substitute chef is just learning...

You always have to wonder about a restaurant that is completely empty at 8pm on a Saturday night. In the event the food was OK....just, but the service was marvellous. Fortunately we focused on vegetarian dishes which were OK and in the case of the brindi (okura) tasty, but the lamb and fish were poor. The sauces were average but the lamb/fish ingredients were of the poorest quality.
The main redeeming feature was the service which was exceptional for Switzerland where service is often humourless and brusque. Nothing was too much bother and it seems that they were determined to make-up for the average food.
On balance reasonable value provided you are not looking for a great meal.
P.S. In my experience it is almost impossible to get good Indian food in Europe, but this restaurant was probably below that already low standard.

The food was good, average, not bad but not amazing. What really made the place stand out was the excellent service and warm reception from the staff and the owner. I'm vegan and they accommodated me with no problem (although it's rarely a problem asking to 'veganize' an item in an Indian restaurant). The server was quite chatty and overheard us wondering about the place mats (appeared to be paintings on fabric that were then laminated). He sent over the owner of the restaurant, who happened to be in that day. He told us about the mats and more. We got a basic outline of his life story, why he opened the restaurant, what it was like working in IT for the UN back in the day. Nice guy. Overall, a good experience. Like anything else in Geneva, it was expensive, however.
