The food was good, average, not bad but not amazing. What really made the place stand out was the excellent service and warm reception from the staff and the owner. I'm vegan and they accommodated me with no problem (although it's rarely a problem asking to 'veganize' an item in an Indian restaurant). The server was quite chatty and overheard us wondering about the place mats (appeared to be paintings on fabric that were then laminated). He sent over the owner of the restaurant, who happened to be in that day. He told us about the mats and more. We got a basic outline of his life story, why he opened the restaurant, what it was like working in IT for the UN back in the day. Nice guy. Overall, a good experience. Like anything else in Geneva, it was expensive, however.

I visited the place during a supposed "South Indian Food Fest". The items available were nothing but a sorry excuse for masala dosa and uthapam. The dosa doesn't even look like a dosa. And the batter used to make the dosa was not even fermented. To top it all, the uthapam was burnt to the extent of having half an inch of black soot all over on one side. Having come to the conclusion that these people cannot cook south indian food, we ordered channa masala and naan- hoping that they at least get the north indian cuisine right. The channa wasn't even fully cooked, and the naan was more like chapathi with oil smeared over it. So I guess the cuisine that they serve best is neither "North Indian" or "South Indian". Rather, they have founded a new genre altogether- "Retarded Indian" cuisine

Teriffic Indian restaurant - the only time in Europe that I've found a curry that matches, if not betters, what can be found in the UK.

On top of that, the owner Vinay is a great host. With a work colleague, we visited three times in a week and a half, and will be back again if we're ever in town. Highly recommended.
