Cruising on boat around this lake, is the most tranquil and amazing thing you can do. I almost missed taking great pics because i was in deep staring, at all the beauty this lake and it's surroundings have to offer.

This trip was included with our 8 day Jungfrau pass.
We went to Spiez as we did not want to spend the whole day boating.
Scenic trip & some interesting architecture in Spiez.
Spiez was the only place in our holiday where all of the water dispensers were not drinking water - seems a bit poor !

Thunersee is a lake located in Bern Canton, in Switzerland. The main town in the lakeside is Thun and the name of the lake is literally Lake of Thun. In the lakeside, you can see very nice buildings like Thun Castle, Oberhofen Castle (the best one!), Hünneg Castle or Spiez Castle. Also, you can walk arouns some very nice towns and enjoy with very beautiful views of the lake and surroundings. Surround the lake is a very nice excursion.

Thunersee is simply beautiful, and I recommend making a visit to this area if you are staying within the vicinity or fancy a day trip.
Plenty of lovely views and areas to enjoy a beverage.
You can visit plenty of Castles and other attractions in this area and I could not recommend it more.

This is one of the most beautiful lakes in Switzerland. It is also the least crowded which is a key.
The lake goes through the entire downtown of Thun and back out to.
You can easily swim almost anywhere
Make sure to get a tour of the old ferry

Thun is on the main train line from Bern to Interlaken and is well worth a stop. The Thunersee (Lake Thun) beautifully frames this amazing, historic town with its majestic castle. And who would have expected to see surfers (!) on the river!? Google it; it's a thing. We were only here for an afternoon but would love to come back for a longer stay someday. This would be the town.
