This lake is absolutely stunning with the view of the mountains covered in snow. The Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau dominate the skyline, and the clear waters of the lake mirror the scenery and the sky to perfection. We saw it in winter when the sky was grey but it was still so amazing.

Most folks want to take the steamer around the lake - it's peaceful and lovely, but it only stops in a few places.

Better to take the car and make a land-circumnavigation of the lake. There are countless roads that go down to the water's edge, and places for unlimited photography. Have lunch in Thun halfway through....

So beautiful like coming from a fairy tale, very picturesque surroundings, so much green, various trees, plants and flowers along the lake, together with lovely houses spread all around it.....
We got to Oberhofen castle by boat and went back to Thun by bus ( buses every 10 min., bus stop close to the pier ).
Don't miss a visit to Spiez, an amazing little town on the lake.We went there by bus, a lovely route, and the bus stoped at the Siez train station.From there we walked down to the port ,enjoying spectacular views. Then we got back to Thun by boat... this was the best way as the train station is high up the hill and it would be difficult to walk our way back to station for a bus or train.
Opposite the train station in Spiez there is a Migros restaurant where you can enjoy this unbeleivable view !!!!!
