“Nice little town”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

Old architecture and nice markets. If you're visiting bern, go to "Gurten" it's the hill on which you can either walk up or take the train/ gondola thing. Once up there you will be getting a look over the whole Bern region, including the alps.

“Perhaps the most beautiful capital in Europe?”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

The Altstadt in Bern has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983, and it's not hard to see why. Beautiful cobbled streets, unspoilt old architecture, and beautiful buildings such as the Clock Tower, Cathedral and Parliament Building combined with traffic-free streets make Bern perhaps the most attractive capital city in Europe. The notorious Swiss cost of living can make a trip to Bern expensive, but I found it well worth the cost.

“Old Bern”
Reviewed March 19, 2014

Bern is a very interesting town. It's rightly protected as UNESCO World Heritage. You can simply walk through the (almost traffic-free) streets, while you look at the interesting old buildings and the numerous shops.

“Must Visit if In Bern”
Reviewed March 13, 2014

Walk to clock Tower, Cathedral and old street is very nice and one must visit when in Bern. However, do check about town restoration work which is happening and avoid streets which are under restoration.
