I went to Zum Isaak for dinner on a monday night with family. We had a complete meal, from starters to dessert and discovered a very elaborated swiss cuisine with a touch of french influence. The panfried goat cheese was awesome, as well as the deer and the lamb. We also had a very good bottle of Chianti.
The location is also something to mention, right in front of the Cathedral, right outside of the restaurant is one of the best places to admire Basel by night. Highly recommended
