Nice Gothic and Romanesque architecture. Interesting colored roof tiles. Very nice stained glass work and contains remains of Erasmus.

It is a beautiful building, we couldn’t go in as it was closed around 8.30- 9 in the morning. It has beautiful roof with tiles resembling colmar old buildings in green with red tiles design . Just behind the building is observation deck of the River. It has got beautiful view.

We stumbled upon the beautiful Basel Minster while walking around Basel’s old town. In the courtyard outside of the church are several contemporary sculptures by local artist Bettina Eichin, “Markttisch,” amongst the historical plaques and markers. Well worth viewing when visiting the church—but no signage about the artist or the sculpture on site.

Beautiful cathedral overlooking the Rhine River. I had dinner at an outdoor restaurant facing the cathedral and afterwards walked behind the cathedral for a view of the Rhine. It was easy to get to. Just a short (uphill) walk from the Middle Bridge on a quaint street.

This is a beautiful cathedral surrounded by winding narrow Medieval streets. The walk along Munsterbergstrasse from Freie Strasse to the Munsterplatz is especially charming. You could spend hours touring the classic interior of the cathedral and its incredible wood carvings but don't miss the gorgeous cloisters and Pfalz terrace outside overlooking the Rhine River. All free.
