Walking around Basel and decided to visit Basel Minster. We are glad we did. We went in and paid 5 CHF to go up. Such a great experience going up the narrow staircase to the top. The view from the top is stunning. Make sure to open all the doors as it is not marked well

The Basel cathedral resides high over theRhine river. It is constructed in the tipical warm red sanstone of the region. The main facade dominates a cosy place surrounded by anciant buildings without any modern supplementations. The facade is ornamented by a statue of St. George spearing a cute little dragon. At the side you will find nice cloisters.

I've seen many cathedrals over the years on my travels. This one is less impressive, but if you're in the area, go and check it out.

I’ve seen a lot of churches and this fitted in the middle, nothing special but it did have beautiful windows so absolutely worth stopping by

Old cathedral in gothic style. Beautiful and simple, with impressive stained glasses and galleries. The lower part is closed to the public.
