Although its been sometime now that I had visited this place but the beautiful picture of a perfect blue lake never goes out of my head. I and my couple of friends had ventured out on weekend morning to explore the trail. If you have chosen your day well, you would have the most amazing experience being in this part of switzerland. Hiking among 1000 species of flowers is overwhelming and humbling. There is even a small pond/lake in the middle of the mountains where you can go relax during your hike. There is even a restaurant close by if you want to pick something or sit for a drink. Once you reach the top you would have the most amazing view of the town adjacent to a blue lake which you can just capture in your memories.

If you have been to switzerland and already been to the most popular destinations, I strongly recommend visiting Flumserberg. Friends, Family, Kids its for all.

We came to Wildhaus with 2 locals who took us on a nice hike up a "hill" (I would probably call it a mountain) we were pleasantly surprised how nice the temperature was even with snow covering the ground, the sun allowed us to take off our winter jackets and enjoy a slight breeze. The altitude of the town and the various temperatures of the valley vs that of the peaks allow for a haze/cloud to divide the sky, picturesque! We went sledding down the hill we climbed which was exhilarating! We felt like children again, my boyfriend remarked that he wished that there were trails for sledding this long in his home town of Boston. Wishful thinking! The next 2 days were spent zooming down the powder covered ski slopes, with unbeatable views from the ski trails and refreshing après ski beverages. Make sure to bring cash, the mountain shops prefer it. It's not a major resort but it was perfect for a low key, relaxing weekend!

From amazing hikes in the high mountains, with amazing views to a very fun toboggan run! It's great for all ages - we had extended family from 9 years to 70 years old. We went back twice during our trip to Switzerland because it was so fun. The toboggan has a special price for "all you can ride" from 10-noon. Then we had an amazing lunch at a place near the toboggan run. What a perfect day!
