Guiseppe is a great host. He met us at the train station on our arrival in Perugia and three weeks later delivered us to the station for our journey to Rome. Three weeks of impeccable hospitality in a wonderful part of Italy ensured we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Nuba. From the extensive welcome basket to the tour of Perugia and the wealth of information about buses, trains, shopping and sights Guiseppe made us feel totally at home. Villa Nuba is very well situated to the town centre, bus and railway stations and to supermarkets and pharmacy. Guiseppe and his wife warmly welcomed us and we highly recommend staying at Villa Nuba.

Room Tip: The photos on the website perfectly show all three apartments.

Our family spent a wonderful three days at Villa Nuba and it was the best experience every. This was the first time using a vacation rental, and we will never go back to staying in hotels! Giuseppe is an outgoing and warm host! He made us feel right at home at his Villa. He came up with a huge list of places to visit, recommendations on places to eat and even helped us track down some Truffle vendors, simply amazing! We will definitely stay here again!

What can I say .... if not thanks from the deep of my heart. Thanks of course for the lovely comment, but mainly thanks for having choosed us for your stay in Perugia.

HAPPY 2013 TO YOU AND TO ALL OUR GUESTS OF 2013.

We take this opportunity to wish all our Guests and especially those who have left their comment, a very happy 2013.

During all the 2012 and in the first month of 2013 the review of our Guests have been the best gift we could receive from all of you. The flattering opinions, judgments and memories about your stay in Umbria at Villa Nuba moved us and they brought us to some simple considerations: the first is that we are on the right track and the passion for what we do has certainly produced a good result, that is to say offer our Guests an unforgettable relaxing stay in Perugia and Umbria and permit them “to live like a local”.
The second consideration is that to have opened our home to all of you gave us many positive experiences and made us know and appreciate the beautiful people who want to know our land and our traditions. We can only conclude that those who choose Villa Nuba choose it because it coincides exactly with what they desired and had in mind. Ergo, applying the simple commutative property, if you say that Villa Nuba "well worths the stay" is because all of you, who honor us of your choice, are worthy. I mean there is an affinity between Villa Nuba and its guests, an affinity which derives from the meeting of your expectations and desires and our efforts to fulfill them. It is also thanks to this encounter that Villa Nuba is a special villa and thanks to you who are so special.
To all a huge thanks, we hope to see you all soon in that home in Perugia and in the green Umbria which, by now, is also your home.
But we want promise you that we will never be content: every time you’ll come back to visit us
we will try to make you find Villa Nuba better than the last time. We will try to amaze you. Every time you will give us the honor of being the destination of your holiday in Perugia, you will find happy surprises for a restful and memorable stay.

Reading your comments we are sure that Villa Nuba have earned a small place in your heart. Thanks again and, again happy 2013 to everyone!

We spent an amazing 3 weeks at Villa Nuba as part of an extended stay in Italy, and it was one of the best experiences of any of our trips. Giuseppe is a wonderful host – warm and friendly and enthusiastic about Perugia and the Umbrian area. He met us at the train station and we immediately felt welcomed and in good hands. We had a quick tour of Perugia (including the best chocolate and gelato shop in town!) before he took us to get supplies knowing that the stores would be closed the next day.
We stayed in both Pinturicchio and the smaller Bonfigli, and found both apartments very well-appointed, spacious and a joy to return to after a day busy with sightseeing (loved the Jacuzzi!). We especially enjoyed having wine in the evening on the terrace of Pinturicchio with the spectacular view. The kitchens of both apartments are well-equipped – we fixed several meals and enjoyed eating dinner under the gazebo next to the pool. In fact, the apartments are SO lovely and comfortable that we decided to relax at the Villa instead of sightseeing on several occasions.
Perugia is a fantastic base for exploring Umbria, both by train and car. Giuseppe has great advice on places to explore - one of our best lunches ever was in Montefalco, a town we would have missed altogether except for Giuseppe’s guidance. Elga offers Italian lessons and is a superb Italian teacher – it was wonderful to be able to work with her. We also enjoyed the very friendly people at the Cerquiglini Pastticceria, a short walk from the Villa, where we stopped most mornings for cappuccino and pastries.
It’s the people we meet that add magic to travel, and Giuseppe and Elga are the magic in Perugia! We grew fond of both of them and plan to return again to meet the baby…
Giuseppe – Thanks again to both of you for a wonderful stay at the Villa Nuba. We survived our bike trip in Apulia, and it was fabulous – just as beautiful as you said it would be.

Room Tip: All 3 apartments at the Villa are beautiful and extremely comfortable. We loved the terrace of Pintu...

This is a lovely villa on the outskirts of Perugia, with beautiful views across the Umbrian countryside. We stayed in del Pinturicchio, one of 3 apartments on the property. The apartment is spacious and wonderfully Italian. Very comfortable beds, great saltwater pool, well-equipped kitchen, mature fig tree just outside the kitchen door, jacuzzi bathtub - it was all we could have asked for. The villa is a short, entertaining walk to the nearby shops and the old town of Perugia. Hosts Guiseppe and Elga, Luigi and Bruna live in a separate house on the same property. They are very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. On arrival, Guiseppe drove us around Perugia to show us places to visit and shop at. Perugia is full of amazing historic architecture and character, but is also very laid back, friendly and relatively inexpensive. There are good train and bus connections to other destinations in Umbria such as Assisi (which is well worth the trip) and to Rome. Within Perugia, there is also a good bus service, which can be quite exciting at times, given the narrow, winding roads. However, we didn't get out to see as much as we planned, because it was so pleasant hanging around the pool at the villa. We were there in September and the mornings showed signs of approaching autumn but the days were lovely and warm.

We were lucky enough to spend a week at Villa Nuba the first week of October. What a wonderful place! We were in del Pinturicchio. It is a very large 2 bedroom with a fantastic terrace and view. When we arrived Giuseppe gave us a tour of the area in his car and showed us places to eat, shop and where to park, very informative and helpful. He also has made arrangements with some of the local businesses and resaturants to provide a discount for his guests. You simply show them your Vila Nuba gold card for the discount, what a great service. The apartment was so charming and comfortable and the welcome basket is a very nice touch and not all that common.
Perugia is a stunning city! It is easy to walk to the town centre or to the bakery, Magic pizza (fabulous) or grocery store. Parking on the street outside the city walls was much easier at night, we always seemed to find something. From the street it is just a short to walk to the restaurants or shops. Make sure to also see some of the nearby towns such as Spello, Spoleto, Montefalco and Assisi. They are absolutely beautiful and so full of history.
Villa Nuba was one of the best weeks we have had and it is very much because of the excellent service that Giuseppe gives. He is genuine and very passionate about where he lives. We did not get to meet his lovely wife Elga, so it will have to wait until our next visit. Thanks Giuseppe for all you did to make our week so great! Bob & Patricia.

Room Tip: del Pinturicchio is the only apartment with a good view, but all three of the apartments are very ni...

We are return visitors to Villa Nuba and as was the case last time, we were not disappointed. Everything and more was on offer this time with the lovely gazebo just outside our apartment, near the pool area. The pool is wonderful to relax and play with the kids after visiting nearby towns in Umbria. We stayed in the larger of the apartments and the cleanliness and attention to detail, along with the nice touches of the welcome basket made it very special. Guiseppe and his lovely wife, Elga, were very welcoming and on hand should we need anything. Perugia is a beautiful town and surrounded by many medieval towns, most with 10-50km so the driving is manageable. We loved venturing out each day, to return to Villa Nuba to relax, enjoy the leafy surrounds and simply have a wonderful start to our Italian adventure. Our daily walk took us to the wonderful pasticceria for coffee and pastries and who can fault Pizza Magic nearby for their wood fired pizzas. All in all another great family holiday and we hope we get back there again.
