It's a nice and beautiful hotel, although its really old-fashioned. The rooms are not very big, but the bathrooms are modern and big. The location is very good, the staff is friendly, but you don't have the feeling to be in a 5 star hotel.
The best thing is the view you have out of you room.

We stayed at the Brufani Palace in August for 2 days and had a fantastic time. This is one of these great old classic style hotels where nothing is too much trouble. Staff at the Brufani Palace is very friendly and helpful, in short, service is impeccable.

This is certainly a place we will return to.

A lovely building well situated in Perugia on Piaza italia. Ask for a bedroom with a view, but if you are tall go for the classic rooms. The suites on the top floor are under the mansard roof, and although they are beautifully appointed if you are tall you will either hit your head on the beams and have to get down on your hands and knees to see the view.
The swimming pool is good, the steam bath and sauna are claustrophobic.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel for a luxurious night when criss crossing italy.
You will need to use the valet parking (expensive), but worth it. When arriving in Perugia
make sure you follow the hotel directions and never ever use GPS. We did, and almost got stuck in the narrow mediaeval streets.

The Brufani is fabulously located at the end of Perugia's main street, the lovely Corso Vannucci. It is a luxurious old palazzo, the hotel dating from at least the end of the 19th century, with fabulous views from the rooms.Immediately you enter, you know you are in good hands. It is old-style, very Italian in the best sense of that word, but fully modernised, wi-fi etc. The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully appointed and the sheets changed every day. Above all, the staff, all pleasant, affable, always attentive to one's slightest request (particularly Carmela, Tina, Hasan at reception - but everyone really), make all the difference. Exceptional all round. Huge value for money.

They also do conferences - two conference halls, fabulous roof terrace for corporate meals.

Been to the Brufani last year. It's by far the best business/leisure hotel in Perugia (been to the Priori, Fortuna, Sangallo and the Etruscan Choco before).

It's ideally placed in Piazza Italia, next to everything worth seeing in the Old Town, next to the MiniMetro and buses that will take everywhere around. Obviously, taxi service is available upon request (1.90 EUR/km)

All regular doubles have the 4*+ standard regardless of the reservation type, not to mention the deluxe rooms/suits and their spectacular view over Umbria. Wi/Fi internet costs 5 EUR (courtesy of alice.it, hope they've made it free in the meanwhile - as it a usual standard for 5* hotels).

Breakfest is good, covers a wide range of European usuals (had it paid with the accomodation, costs around 30 EUR otherwise). Be sure to check the Collin's restaurant (expensive, but worhwhile) and the Fitness/SPA center on the premises.
