“like an art gallery”

Beautifully decorated architectural masterpiece. The paintings in the naves are worth spending time to view, as well as the choir seating.

“Amazing building”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 20, 2011

First time I visited this church was by night during the concert of Choire of New College Oxford (it was in September during the Sagra musicale Umbra festival. It was unforgettable experience especially because of the ambient of the church. I got back there in the church by day to look closely on the frescoes and architecture of building. In there you can really feel middle age societies and their look at the life. I strongly recommend visiting. It is easy to loose it out of sight bcs it is not in the strong center of city but with a map and a nice 15 minute walking trough San Pietro door it is easy to find it. Btw, near is also archaeological museum so You can visit this in the same 'tour'.

“An incredible place”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2011

Despite it beeing quite "run down" it is not possible not to admire the cloister and the incredibly decorated interiors with lots of museum quality paintings... I would probably not have found this jewel if the owners of the hotel I stayed in had not insisted that it it an absolutely MUST SEE.
The short walk from the centre of Perugia trough a non touristic part of the town was pleasant and absolutely worth it... Italians should really tresure such gems... this one is a bit neglected.
