“Siena”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Don't miss it! Get the OPA ticket for all 5 places, online ahead of time if you can. It's a gem. The cathedral (duomo) is so beautiful, you are surrounding by exceptional statues, frescoes, ceilings. And Siena itself was a wonderful town to walk around.

“Love the Arches”
Reviewed October 13, 2012

Perugia is another great preserved cities in Italy. The town is quite small which allows you to easily walk around it in half a day. This was our only wet day in 7 weeks of travel, but the size of the arches are impressive, if not all are intact. Just wandering the streets to discover some great views of teh towns below is worth the endless stroll

“Great for two days max.”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Perugia is a great little walled city to wander around and explore. It has a maze of tiny little streets and alleyways, a labyrinth of catacombs underneath it and lots of cool stores and restaurants to explore and check out. The history of the city is fascinating and the historic sites are a testament to this. With all the other wonderful places in Italy to see, I wouldn't spend more than a day or two in Perugia...that would be plenty of time to soak in all the highlights.

“simply beautiful”
Reviewed September 3, 2012

Perugia is a city like many other cities in this part of Italy (Umbria): not too big, with a lot of nice places to go. The view to Assisi is from the higher part of the town is quite spectacular. Main street in Perugia is cosy, and the pinacoteca is a very nice museum.
