Beautiful hotel and perfect location.Perfect setting looking over the Tuscan countryside. Rooms on the street side are also wonderful. Food is fabulous and service spectacular. Best meal we had in Italy. I would love to go back and spend a week here.

The views that Hotel Giotto provide are absolutely breathtaking. Unfortunately the hotel, in our opinion, is not a 4 star. Booking.com confirmed a balcony, but we didn't get one, and the hotel advised that they have notified booking.com about this on many occasions. Our room was pokey, noisy and the shower flooded every day. It was however a clean room. The food in the Restaurant was enjoyable and beautifully presented. Constantino manages the Restaurant and breakfast room and is a delight to meet, and has a very witty and comical approach to life. It is a pity that the staff overall aren't like Constantino. We found out about a little bus that takes you up to the main center of Assisi for 1 Euro each. It would have been helpful if the staff at reception provided us with this information on arrival. It felt it was like drawing teeth to get information about Assisi. Dismissing everything I have written, the views over Assisi, and the valleys are second to none. Assisi has a wonderful peaceful religious feel to it.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Giotto in Assisi, and I have to say that I wish we'd stayed longer. Assisi is just the most beautiful and spiritual place, and the Umbrian Valley is stunning. The Hotel Giotto is centrally located, the room was well appointed, the view oh the view from our balcony! But every aspect of this Hotel gave you a view. The staff were kind, courteous and extremely friendly, right down to the restaurant manager who took care of breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend this Hotel highly enough and Assisi is a must on your visit to Italy. I will be back.

Nice Hotel in the city center, car parking available, perfect view in a terrace where you can have a drink or a moment of relax. Nice brekafast (in another terrace) and very quiet. Rooms are new, top quality bathroom with big shower.

I have a family of 5 (2 A, 3 C). Our room at the Giotto was more of a suite with two adjacent rooms and two bathrooms. Our accommodations were newly renovated, very clean, spacious and beautiful. The bathroom was also very nice. We had a large balcony with breathtaking views of the town below and surrounding areas. Both the hotel and town are quiet and peaceful. Our reservation included brunch on the restaurants' terrace overlooking the city. This was one of my family's favorite breakfast meals. Not only was it delicious, but the staff was wonderful and loved the children. We only stayed one night on our way to Florence, but we wished we had given ourselves more time. I would highly recommend the Giotto and would certainly return again with my family.

Room Tip: I believe our room was #413. I did not look into a fitness center or kids activities which is why I...

We were with an insight tour and must have drawn the short straw as our room was down in the cellar with no views.the room itself was acceptable the bathroom very nice.almost all our fellow travelers had complained about the rooms ( maybe with insight you only get the dregs)
The location and scenery is excellent, but the staff no so friendly and unorganized. The evening meal was only just and the breakfast was below par .

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view on the high side of the hotel.

We have returned to this hotel after it was renovated and our stay was fantastic. The location and view over the plain extends as far as Spoleto. At nights the colors of the sunset reflects over the valley in a magical light. In the morning, hundreds of swallows circle around the rooftops of mystic Assisi.
The hotel offers different type of rooms and we stayed in a deluxe room, with a stunning view of the valley. The famous Giotto Terrace is a perfect place to contemplate sunset and sunrise. The elegant restaurant has a splendid terrace and interesting old vaults.
Personnel is friendly, helpful and professional.
Assisi is indeed a very special place in Umbria and the Giotto Hotel a very nice place to experience it. Highly recommended.
