We recently stayed in this boutique hotel in the Beautitude
room which could easily accommodate 4 people and was therefore, very much large enough for only two of us! The nicest surpise was that the room came with a 'large' garden with fig (which were ripe and oh so tasty) & pomegrante tree as well as a small balcony which overlooked the valley to the distant hills/mountains.

The staff (namely Serenna) must have a mention as they were extremely helpfull!

We took a short ride to their other residence which is a health centre to try out the jaccuzzie, steam room, sauna etc. which was nice to wind-down just that little bit extra.

Beautitude also had a wardrobe in which was a couple of electric rings, a large fridge and a well used expresso machine! We took advantage of this for a couple of nights and cooked some of the local fayre from the butchers and fish merchants in town (5 mins away). 'Cooking on your holiday ' you say, but if you enjoy it, to use the freshest of ingredients was a real pleasure!

Assisi itself is quite hilly, so be prepared to take your time, especillay if it is hot.

The main sites, as previously mentioned are all within a short distance.

Eating out could prove expensive, but do look in some of the back-streets to find little gems of shops/restaurants with more relealistic prices. All-in-all, we would most definately go back and use this as a base to explore more of this beautiful area.

Spent two nights in Assisi at this property; we had a large apartment with two bedrooms (one bedroom with one bed and the other one had twin beds), two bathrooms and large living room area and dining room. There was a cabinet with a small fridge stocked with items you could purchase (ie: drinks, snacks), a hot plate for heating food and a small sink. Its not really set up for preparing a large meal, however, it was practical for making a breakfast. (breakfast is not included)
We had a lovely terrace that offered a spectacular view of the umbia valley and some of the town of Assisi. After spending 5 days in Roma, it was wonderful to see the "countryside".
We arrived by train and took a taxi to the residence. The town of Assisi has many up and down climbs........it was somewhat difficult for the senior who travelled with me, however, we just had to take our time.
The location was great; just a 5 minute walk to the main square and the same distance to St. Clare church. There are many shops and eating places in the main square.
Serena at the front desk was very helpful and friendly; there is not someone at the front desk at all times, but Serena always let us know what her schedule was in case we needed assistance. There is no phone for an outside line in the apartment.
The accommodations were very clean.
I would not hesitate to recommend this property and would stay again.

We booked this through i-escape and were not disappointed. We had 2 rooms that were both great - one for us and our children which had a great view and garden access and the other for my parents which was a simple double room. Both rooms had a kitchenette with coffee maker and breakfast pastries. Beautiful decor and good location for the town centre. 15min walk to the Basilica St Francis. They had excellent restaurant recommendations - probably the best of our trip to Italy. Only drawback is finding the place if you take your car into the town centre. If you park in the carpark be prepared for a VERY steep walk up with baggage. Other than that it was perfect and would recommend it to all families going to Assisi.

We have just returned from a two week trip to Umbria and Tuscany and San Crispino was our first stop. Isabelle and the staff were warm and welcoming. We were excited to see the rooms and the views were everything the website promises and more. What a find! As a group of three women, we took a triple room and it was more than spacious with a suite including a small kitchen area where we made cappuccino each morning.

My best friend and I stayed at this residence during our stay in Assisi. It was lovely. We had a two bedroom with a bath and a living area and a balcony/terrace with a beautiful Umbrian view. The rooms were clean and spacious and very well appointed. The only negative (maybe to some people) is that the lobby closes at 6:00 PM, but for us there was no reason to need it. Whatever we needed was arranged ahead of time and there was no disappointments. I have to tell you that after walking in Assisi, it was a delight to come back to our place and sit on our terrace and just enjoy the beautiful view with a bottle of wine or to wake up in the morning with a cup of cappuchino doing the same thing. Some rooms even had a private garden. I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We loved our time in Assisi and this was a wonderful place to stay. It is a very historic building that has been superbly renovated and decorated. It is conveniently located near the main square. The apartments all have names, our family stayed in Beatitude and we found the atmosphere very calming. There was a large garden outside our door and great views of the region. The only disappointment is that breakfast is not offered, it would have been wonderful to receive a plate of pastries and fruit each morning as shopping is tiresome task when you are on holidays and not familiar with the language and opening hours of the shops. Ask for assistance in this and your stay will be perfect.

The location, furnishings and views are incredible. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in something a little different than your typical "hotel".

The "Residenza" is precisely that - a residence that is a little more like apartments than hotel rooms. There is no full time staff and there is no breakfast service. So if you want hotel style service, this probably isn't the place for you.

The building dates back to the 15th century but it has been beautifully restored. Our suite had a large bedroom with a beautiful view of the Basilica of St. Clare, a small bedroom, a 'family room' (sofa, TV, dining table/chairs and a tiny kitchenette) and a terrace that overlooked a beautiful garden and the Umbrian countryside. The bathroom was spectacular and modern, with a wonderful shower and lots of space. The room furnishings were tasteful and elegant.

Although we knew there'd be a kitchenette, to our delight, it came equipped with coffee, milk, cereal and croissants. Though we are not capuccino experts, it didn't take us long to figure out how to use the almost-idiot-proof capuccino maker. We also loved going shopping for fruits and pastries and cheeses to supplement our breakfast.

We found our stay to be a good value (compared to Rome and Venice). There were 3 of us and so the cost per person (in high season) was 65 Euros a night.

The Residenza can be a little hard to find but once you know where it is, it takes only 2 minutes to walk to the Basilica of St. Clare or 3 minutes to walk to the Piazza del Commune.

My complaints are very minor. First, it is hard to get to and from the parking lot with luggage. But that's true with almost any place you stay in Assisi. Second, it wasn't easy finding a little grocery store and since the staff isn't there full time there was no one to ask when we thought about going shopping. Third, the main door to the Residenza is locked at night and we had a very hard time getting the key to work after hours.
