We went here for lunch when visiting Assisi. The place is located in the city center, in the heart of the tourist zone. The food was okay, not bad, but nothing special either. The prices were a bit high, like in almost all the restaurants in Assisi, and the service was pretty slow. Overall, very mediocre restaurant.

Being Assisi a tourist trap, it's in my opinion pretty obvious that the restaurants in the center offer average food for average tourists.
This one belongs to the category.
We ordered bruschette miste and they were ok, so it was the pizza.
Nothing special really, but it fills your stomach and it's not that bad.
The prices are quite high and the service is a bit slow. But when it comes to the prices, they're average for the city.

Best time to visit Assisi is in the early evening when all the crowds have gone and it's bathed in a lovely evening light. We visited at about 6,.30 and took the escalators from the main car park up into town to find somewhere to eat. Just a short walk up the main street on your right hand side you will see a lady in the street inviting you to visit this restaurant. Whilst this would normally put us off, the menu looked very reasonable and so we gave it a go. The restaurant has a small outside seating area (approx 4 tables) and then two floors inside with lovely clean, white decor - more modern looking than your standard Italian pizzeria.
Food was excellent - very good choices and really big portions. Good range of pizza, pasta and primo and secondi courses, plus deserts (the Bacci mousse was yummy) and drinks. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Lovely vibe to the place and no rush to clear your table - we ate outside on a little table for two. Shared a bruschetta starter, then had a pasta dish each, followed by a tea and a coffee, a soft drink, a glass of wine (really good local 'house' wine) and a bottle of water, all for approx 37 Euros which was very good value given the quality of the food. We enjoyed it so much we returned for a repeat visit a few days later and had another great meal.

When we visited Assisi, we thought the prices would be ridiculous. But not this place! The food was great, big enough portions, and very reasonable prices. The staff was more than happy to hear us attempting Italian! Close to the main thoroughfare, but tucked back enough that you feel secluded. Indoor seating was air conditioned, too, which was a nice treat on a hot summer day!
