We arrived in Assisi after a long day of travelling and decided to dine at our hotel restaurant. We were welcomed warmly by Nicola who explained the dishes clearly and was patient and agreeable to our variations of the menu , when we wanted to share or have extra servings. The meal was perfect and flavoursome ranging from the different and delicious varieties of freshly baked bread to the original and beautifully presented dessert. We were hooked by the original and striking flavours and returned on the next two nights of our stay - which is rare for us. Highlights of our meals were the pasta and fagioli, the roasted turbot with leek and cream parmigiano with caramelized oranges, delicate salad greens with tender pieces of baccala , ravioli with black cabbage and creamed breadcrumbs, home made noodles with fresh tomato sauce and ricotta and vin santo ice cream with traditional Assisi pastry. We were impressed by the professional staff and the fine service including small appetizers and pre desserts. All in all wonderful, fine dining experiences which enhanced our Assisi stay . Each meal was a delicious and welcoming conclusion to our beautiful day of touring. Thank you to the fine chef, to Nicola and great staff including Tatiana. We sincerely hope to return in the near future.
