For a guest house this is a wonderful place to stay. The sisters speak english and offer wonderful hospitality. It is plain with no phones or tv but that does not matter. When in Assisi one is there to soak up the Spirit of St. Francis. I have stayed there at least 20 times and have never been dissapointed, my first visit being in 1979. They have done extensive remodeling after the earthquake of '98. Rooms have ceiling fans and thermostats. Their is no a/c but I hav never found that a problem with the mountain breezes. Showers are typical European where the entire bathroom showers with you. All rooms have private baths.
There is a curfew of 10:30 PM. That is not a problem as most everything is done for the day. They have a wonderful library with a view of the entire valley below. They do offer wine and soda as well as coffe machine that makes espresso, cappucinno, cafe' late, etc. for .80 euros. If a priest is visiting there is Mass in the morning for those who wish to attend. If one has a car, they have parking facilities on the property of the guest house.
