Interesting church but you have to be careful that you visit too many in Assisi. Better than some but not the big 2.

“Historic Site”
Reviewed August 23, 2014

Good for fans of St. Francis, St. Clare, St. Rufino. Contains the baptismal font where Clare and Francis were baptized as babies. Has the remains of St. Rufino - the martyred bishop. Predates St. Francis era. Inside, near the front entrance - there is an ancient Roman cistern for collecting water.

“Glad we saw it”
Reviewed August 16, 2014

Beautiful. Glad we were able to visit this, but in comparison to San Francesco and Santa Chiara, it didn't have the same spiritual vibes for us. It did have interesting artifacts to see.

“Unique Gates”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

The unique items in the architecture of this duomo are the entrance gates and the round central window, specifically the carvings that surround them. The duomo is well worth the visit.
