“Great Vegetarian Find”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

As a vegetarian family traveling, this was a pleasant find. The food was delicious and a welcoming comfort. This local spot was a bit off of the beaten path, but that is what added to its charm.

“A Vegetarian's Delight”
Reviewed October 26, 2013

On recommendation of the Sister's at St. Anthony's Guest House, I took a short walk down the street (literally, down!) and popped in for dinner at this family owned gem.

As soon as I said "vegetariano" they proudly produced a menu with nothing but vegetarian dishes. What a treat! I settled on the traditional set price meal and was not disappointed. Bruchetta starter with fava bean pate and fragrant marinated tomatoes, fresh homemade pasta with mushrooms & cream, veggie meatballs, oven roasted potatoes with rosemary and fennel accompanied by fresh baked bread with a robust body and chewy crust. A bottle of the local Rosso Assisi was perfect with the meal. Desert was a difficult choice, but I settled on the jam pastry. There was so much food that I took half of it back for lunch the next day.

I couldn't leave Assisi without eating there a second time - a smaller sampling off the menu but every bit as wonderful. There is obviously a great deal of pride and love of local slow food at this family run ristorante.

“Nice local place with excellent food and prices”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

We were too late to get a table on the cute outdoor patio but enjoyed our meal nevertheless. We ordered the set price menu with several traditional dishes, which were all very good. Pasta with sausage and mushroom was the highlight, as was the vegetarian appetizer platter shared by our friends.

“Welcome repose, excellent food”
Reviewed August 25, 2013

The staff were warm, welcoming, and gave us a refreshing drink quickly (probably from our sun-burned appearance in the hot August sun)! The waitress recommended the chef's specials, which we had and are we glad we went with the recommendation! The food was delicious: the pasta, aldente, the truffles fragrant, and the focaccia sumptuous! We highly recommend this hidden gem in Assisi, just around the corner from the busy duomo piazza.
