We had passed this little restaurant whilst wandering round Assisi the previous evening, stopping to smell the herbs in the barrel by the front door & returned for lunch the next day (it provided welcome shelter from one of several thunder, lightning & hail storms we experienced in Assisi in early June!!). There was just one, English speaking, guy serving all the tables - most of which were occupied with a mix of locals & tourists - & he was doing a great job. Because food is freshly prepared there is a wait during which we enjoyed a delicious complimentary starter before our main courses - I chose the house salad & my husband had pasta, both delicious. I enjoyed a dessert too of sorbet on a white chocolate sauce with berries. Would definitely return if I'm lucky enough to visit Assisi again.
