This place is very rustic. There's a good effort, but if you are looking for comfort, look elsewhere. The rooms are clean (ok), rustic...even full of charm and character, however after you check-in you are on your own. No cleaning service until you check out. The ceiling fans are filthy and TVs too small and without function (sat did not work). The bed was crap, slats kept falling out, there was no heat, only one bath towel and the one day we had breakfast it was terrible. To their credit they did bring us an electric heater immediately upon request. This place definitely gives you Tuscan farmhouse feel.

I am very sorry for his disappointment about our service. we try to do our best and we put all our love and kindness to follow our clients during their stay with us . are probably in for some reason I do not know , there was a communication problem with this customer and would like to respond point by point.

- our property is a working farm , not a hotel , we rent rooms and apartments for days or weeks and cleaning during the stay are not expected, we do find the room clean and just the beginning .

- TV is not great but it does its job, the satellite connection works , there are many guests and can sometimes happen that someone changes the settings of the decoder. and just ask me and I commit everything to posto.mi wonder why I have not been communicated to the problem by the customer.

- the bed has a new mattress because we have changed this year (beginning 2013). when I went to clean the bed apartment I saw that there were two staves out of place. the customer, not just the problem occurred, could inform me of this . and I would have changed the network of the bed immediately , as I did with the stove.

- Breakfast is the same for everyone . we serve a breakfast of Italian and international type . croissants , jams, cake , crackers , bread, heated , coffee, tea , milk. we do not serve breakfast is international with cheese and eggs because it is not usual for us in Italy .
has happened 2 or 3 times that breakfast was not to the liking someone. I think it's normal . the customer has notified us know , and we have reimbursed for the cost of breakfast .

as I said we try to be as courteous and serve our guests better. if there is something wrong, or a problem, just inform me and I promise to resolve it immediately .

We apologize if your stay was not as expected but I think it was a communication problem .

Excellent location, beautiful environment, tastefully maintained house and rooms.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. They offer free mountainbikes but they seemed to be somewhat unprepared when we were asking for suggestions and map for the biking route. We took the mountain bike route they suggested and we really liked it, it was a lot of fun.
Btw this biking route starts right at the house and definitely worth to take it.

Breakfast could be more tasteful, no wifi in the rooms.

If you want to live the true "toscana" experience this is a prime location! The property is neat and full of charm, nested in an olive plantation. Vinci is just five minutes away.
Owner and manager is friendly, but i got the impression that he forgot to care properly for the guest that day! I thinks he has room to improve his hospitality skills...

Well this is the second time this year we've stayed at Eva & Lorenzo's ''La Gioconda'', and I have to say it surpassed all of our expectations once again!

It's always a gamble staying somewhere again, as your memory always makes everything glossier than reality, but not in this case! On views alone this place is stunning, and makes your mouth fall open at how stunningly beautiful this part of Tuscany really is! The friendliness and kindness of the hosts makes you feel welcome and apart of the family immediately, as nothing is ever too much trouble!

How many places have you stayed at where the owners have emailed you before your holiday is due to start offering you a better larger apartment for the same price!?

Eva said she was worried there wouldn't be enough room in the apartment we had chosen. She said we would enjoy our stay more as it had larger rooms and a terrace to eat out on and enjoy the views from. More importantly it would be safer for our baby girl to play in, as there weren't any steps!? Amazing!

If you're travelling to the Florence region of Tuscany, and want to stay in a real Tuscan house, where they produce their own wine, welcome you into their family with open arms and make you feel part of it, then you just have to stay here!

Thank you Eva, Lorenzo & Ettorie for a fabulous time, and we will definitely be back to see you again next year!

Good luck with the Olives, and I hope it's a successful harvest for you!

Mike/Dawn & Katie

We stayed for two weeks at La Gioconda at the Coppia 1 apartment. With a lot of olive threes around us, nice swimming pool and a quite environment, there is nothing more we could wish. Ore maybe one thing, some clouds to cover the sun sometimes.

Found this agriturismo in my guidebook and they did not lie when they mentioned the gorgeous views and friendly hosts. The rooms were simple and comfortable but the views were breathtaking. The outdoor grill areas and tables allowed for some nice meals outside when we decided to stay in. Swimming pool was a nice touch too. We went during a particularly hot week so the AC in the rooms was highly appreciated! Highly recommend having a good small car as the road up to the agriturismo is steep at times and definitely winding. Overall a great place, well located for day trips in Tuscany, friendly and helpful hosts, and a wonderful calm feeling to unwind after day trips. Would stay again without hesitation.

We have just spent two glorious weeks at La Gioconda in their largest appartment called 'Casa Terraza'. As the name suggests it has a large terrace which overlooks Vinci directly below, with amazing views of the Tuscan mountains & valley floor extending as far as the sea at Leghorn on a clear day! You really feel on top of the world from this breathtaking position! The main bedroom and lounge windows also share this stunning view that you never get tired of looking at.

This appartment has 2 bedrooms, a shower / wet room and an open plan living / Dining Kitchen. The kitchen area also benefits from wi-fi as its next to Lorenzo's reception where the router is situated. The grounds, gardens and pool are a lovely place to relax in, as there are lots of places to sit, read, watch the birds feed, or just stare at that view... The pool area also has a new wooden 'Gazeebo' to shade from the sun on a lounger, before taking a dip in the beautiful pool. If you feel energetic they have mountain bikes for free use, and there are also some great walks around the hillside too.

A car is an absolute must for this area, as you will need frequent supermarket runs to the Coop in Empoli or Lamporecchio, as well any days trips to the famous hilltop towns and tuscan coastline.

Eva, Lorrenzo and their gorgous new baby are a lovely family, always pleased to see you, and make you feel part of their family. Nothing is ever too much trouble, from taxi's into town, places to eat, visit or shop, or just to chat... We have fallen in love with Tuscany and in particular the Vinci area as the people are all so friendly and welcoming! It has a really relaxed ''home'' feeling to it. This really is a great base for exploring Tuscany as you are so central to all the main attractions.

If like us you prefer to stay somewhere rustic, charming and homely, then you cannot find a better place than La Gioconda... Eva / Lorenzo, see you in October!

Room Tip: Casa Terazza for the space and amazing views... But to be honest even the appartments in the main ho...
