We would definitely recommend the Villa Elda in Siena. It feels more like an excellent quality B&B than a hotel. The breakfast is available in the breakfast room or in the garden outside. The breakfast is not a full American/English style breakfast and for this reason my husband would give the property four stars rather than five. However I feel that the breakfast is more than adequate and the ambience more than makes up for the missing fried bacon, sausages etc. I especially enjoyed the fresh 'blood' orange juice which I think was from Silician oranges. See other reviews for a full listing of what's on offer for breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the room we had on the ground level was very comfortable. From our window we had a lovely view of the entrance to the property framing the old Siena in the background. The location was excellent - we could walk to the Campo in 15mins or less while staying in a very quiet and attractive neighbourhood. We stayed only one night in August and I wish we had spent longer.
