“Peaceful and Beautiful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

This castle is so very peaceful and very beautiful. We had a wonderful stay here in the apartment on the ground floor. Next time I would love to stay in the tower! Nicola recommended a nice drive for us to take to Montepulciano, the scenery is unforgettable. We will be back.

The castle is a unique experience and one we will always remember.
The first floor apartment was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Wi-fi is available but a little erratic.
The host Nicola (male) was extremely helpful in advising us of the wonderful sights in Tuscany. His recommendation for dinner at the farm house, Fattoria le Pietre Vive di Montaperti, ten minutes' drive from the castle, was a delightful surprise, with five courses of produce from the farm and local suppliers. It was one of our best meals in Italy.
The castle itself was divine with exceptional views of the Tuscan countryside from every window (see photos). It had old world charm!
Everything about our stay at Quattro was fantastic. The accommodation, breakfast and hospitality of Nicola made our trip to Siena unforgettable.
Anyone wanting a unique experience - this is the place for you.
Grazie mille, Nicola!

Room Tip: For families, the first floor apartment is very spacious.

Thank you Nicola and family for making our trip so much fun! Your views of the Siena area are amazing. We would recommend this property to anyone( not for physically challenged). There are quite a few steps up the stairs and Nicola helps with the luggage!! There isn't a kinder family to help make your stay in Siena enjoyable. His mother in laws cooking classes with his assistant Katerina are worth the trip. We ad so much fun learning to make pasta, gnocchi, and chicken scallopine. We did have a bit of the wonderful chianti Classico reserve that is made in the area, with dinner. A truly memorable night! Thank you again Nicola!!

I have always wanted to stay in a castle, so when some friends recommended this one to my husband and me, it seemed ideal. When we arrived, Nicola greeted us outside. During our entire stay, he was very hospitable and friendly. The breakfast that he set up for us each morning was so nice since it overlooked the Tuscan countryside. We stayed in the Tower room, which I had read in all the reviews that the Tower room was the place to stay. It was! The room was two-story and had windows on three sides of the room with perfect views of the Tuscan countryside. It was like a dream. We would recommend this castle to others and would definitely return!

Room Tip: Stay in the tower room!

This is a lovely alternative to staying in a town and the charm of staying in a castle was great. We even wore crowns for a bit of fun! The accommodation is comfortable and the view from all aspects was just sensational. Breakfast was fresh and enjoyable, Niccola was a great host.
We opted for the dinner in the 'farmhouse', a restaurant owned by a family member, which was fine, but my suggestion would be to take some food for a platter, and enjoy the time you have in the castle. It was €50 for the taxi as we decided not to drive there, so the meal finished up an expensive choice.

It is really hard to add anything to those reviews already written.
We have spent 5 nights at the Castello of which 4 in the Tower Room which has a magnificent view over the rolling hills of Toscany and a beautiful view over the nearby Siena.
The Castello is actually inhabited by the mother of the owner and his more distant family so you really do get to feel like you are in the true castle.

To those that decided to stay at the Castello I would suggest two additional activities:
1. to sign up for the cooking class with Nonna Ciana (Nicola's mother in law) who is a very friendly and lively person and a great cook (she has shared with my wife so many tricks for making a truly Italian food!).
2. to have a dinner at owner's restaurant at the nearby farmhouse "Fattoria Le Pietre Vive di Montaperti". You will get a set menu of house cooked specialties.

I decided on staying in Castello based on reviews on this site and it even exceeded my initial expectations.

Room Tip: each room is totally different, so go to the website and choose the one you like most. If you have...
