“The freshest and richest gelato in Siena... maybe in Tuscany”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

In 2013 I spent six weeks in Italy, based primarily in Siena. While I was there I tried a LOT of gelato between Florence and Rome, and I hit nearly every gelato joint in Siena -- most more than once. Several friends of mine raved about this place, and over time it became our go-to gelateria. The gelato here has a depth of flavor, and a richness of texture, that somehow tops the other places; and trust me, there is no shortage of good places to get gelato in Siena. The owners and workers seem simply to love what they do (and why not? They make and serve gelato!), and I like to believe that therein lies the difference. They get excited about introducing new flavors, and they wait patiently while you work through the process of deciding which ones to try. By the way, that place in San Gimignano that boasts the "best gelato in the world"? Dimentichi.

“Best in Siena”
Reviewed July 7, 2014 via mobile

We stayed in Siena 3 nights and in Tuscany 10 nights. We had gelato most days ... owing to the hot weather of course. This was our favourite spot. Smooth, creamy gelato - nocciola and cafe being particularly good. Try it and definitely avoid the many other tourist traps closer to the main piazza.

“Gelato Made In-House”
Reviewed May 22, 2014

When you get away from the main piazza, you find the small places with good food. This gelateria is the real deal. They make their gelato in-house and everything is very fresh. The Pistacchio was the best we've had in awhile. The prices are very reasonable for a popular tourist spot, like Siana. I tried a flavor called "Ta Nero" that was chocolate, coffee and some nuts. It was amazing.
Nice people, too.

“Great Gelataria”
Reviewed May 9, 2014 via mobile

I look for good ice cream whenever I'm abroad, and I visited here after reading TA reviews. €3.50 for a large tub (3 scoops), limited flavours to choose from (16).

Go for the dark chocolate flavour, it's as good as any I've tasted.
