“Great location & design, a little loud & warm”
Reviewed February 10, 2014

First, I love a hotel with a personal touch and Polina and Natalia deliver that very well. The room designs are fresh, modern, with a touch of old world (wood-beam ceilings!). Overall, loved the stay. I have already booked again for later this year.
Positives
+Location is superb for seeing Siena's historic center. You are in it.
+Friendly factor goes a long way for me.
+ BALCONY. Always a dream come true to people-watch from above.
Negatives
-The rooms on the main boulevard can be a little noisy. Siena has an active nightlife, and you will hear some of it. That didn't bother me, but light sleepers should be aware.
-I was there in September and the air conditioner barely cooled the room. A fan would have gone a long way to helping me out. I knew that AC doesn't equal AC to the United States standard, but this was a bit below my adjusted expectations after multiple trips to Italy.

If you want to be in the center of Siena next to Il Campo for a reasonable rate, this is your place. The rooms are clean and very modern and the staff are friendly and helpful. You have to be prepared for a little exercise. You cannot park near the hotel (although you can drop your luggage off) and the lobby and rooms are on the second floor.

A great option for tourists who need a good B&B in the center. Everything was fine.
The historic building is beside Il Campo - you can actually feel the ancient times :)

The rooms are sweet and clean, the staff is always ready to help you in any question. Many thanks to them, and especially to Polina and Natalia.
We had a very early check-out, before breakfast, so Natalia came early just because of us to make breakfast. Amazing :)

The very slow wi-fi is the only thing we don't like.

Definitely we can recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Is it possible request a room with a balcony

My wife and I stayed at B&B Il Corso for one night while we were in Siena. Il Corso is ideally located a few feet from Plazza del Campo and easy walking distance from the Duomo, other attractions, and restaurants in central Siena.

We were warmly greeted when we arrived and our room was immaculately clean and quite comfortable. One thing to be aware of is that the B&B is located up a flight of stairs from the street level and there is no elevator. This made lugging suitcases up a bit of a chore, although worth it in consideration of Il Corso's many other positive attributes.

The breakfast available in the morning was simple, although not lavish. I appreciated that hard boiled eggs were available for those who like to have some protein in the morning.

Three words describe this place: WOW. We stayed 4 nights in October - located 1 min from the Piazze - in the fortifications. Room was very nicely appointed. Good breakfast. Bring a small bag as you can't access by car - and it is 'hilly'... Very good restaurants located within walking distance. Best parking is 'Il Campo', located 5-10 min away (30 Euros per day).

Sienna is a great place to visit - and for day trips (less than 1 hour drive) to Florence, San Gimignano, Montelpuciano and Arezzo.

Room Tip: Since you are located in the centre of the city, it can get noisy even late at night. Much quieter o...

Cute B&B, simple but tasteful decoration, great location. Breakfast is in a cozy little area with a terrace, amazing cappuccino! Palina was very nice to us and helpful (she even helped us to prevent a ticket! We drove into the city unknowing it was not permitted :S). Just don't bring big/heavy luggage, it's an uphill walk from the parking lot to the inn (there are electric stairs though) and no elevator.

As other reviews attest, the Il Corso is a great place to stay in the heart of Siena. It is located just a few steps from Piazza del Campo, yet still provides a supremely quiet and restful place to stay. Being near new, the rooms are very nice, stylishly furnished and spacious, yet still retain some atmospheric features from the building's past. The staff were very friendly and helpful and breakfast was great too. Highly recommended.
